Bio: I’m a regular high school student who’s trying to make it through the world and enjoy things out of life. I’m a tomboy and I like to play video games very much and I get my drawing inspiration from it. I get my comedic inspiration from normal day life like watching TV, chatting with friends, school, and sometime watching my Chihuahua do something stupid but cute. I like all kind of music but when I’m working on drawing comics, Oldies seem to work well with me. I don’t say much and that’s why you’re reading the last sentence of this bio right now.

Name: Lawrence Kwan aka “Kane”
Date of Birth: 1989 April 20
Occupation: Student & Kung-Fu Pandas Co-Creator and Website Manager (since Lee doesn't know how to manage a site)
Weapon: Sword and Gun (I wish I had a gunblade… or maybe a buster sword…)
Likes: Pretty much the same as Christine. Drawing (even though I’m pretty bad at it), playing video games, surfing the internet, reading webcomics and mangas, watching anime, dragging sentences long so that it confuses people (try it. Its fun), and being lazy.
Dislikes: I don’t really know. I guess I dislike having to guess at stuff about me that I should know.
Musical Instruments: Piano, Violin, Ocarina, Guitar
Video Game Systems Owned: SNES, Game Gear, PS2, GCN, XBOX, GB, GBC, GBA, GBASP, Nintendo DS
Favourite Food: Pocky and Fish
Favourite Anime: Air or Kanon
Favourite Manga: Reservoir Chronicles Tsubasa
Favourite Webcomic (other than KFP): Megatokyo
Favourite Composer: Nobuo Uematsu and Yuki Kajiura
Favourite Music Group: Do As Infinity
Favourite Video Game: Final Fantasy (series) or maybe Galaga…
Quote: “…”
Bio: Bio? Isn’t that a spell in Final Fantasy? No? Ok, never mind. Ok, so I’m a classmate of Christine, I’m a pessimist, Night Owl, can’t stand mornings, started out playing video games at an early age, love to use run on sentences because I like to confuse people (especially my English Teachers), and uh… I dunno. I really don’t like talking about myself, ya know?

History of KFP

In my Freshman year around November 13, 2003, I was getting into the idea of drawing comics. I experimented on ideas in my head of what to draw about. Thought about doing high school life but I couldn't draw people well. So one night I was watching a kung-fu movie and it finally hit me. I'll do a kung-fu comic about pandas! They’re easy to draw repeatedly, they’re cute, they fight, and how can anyone hate little pandas? I haven’t thought of a name yet at the moment but who cares? I had a comic idea! My friends saw it and they spread the word around and later by December I finally met Lawrence, aka and soon to be called ,“Kane”. He’s sort of a computer expert (more like computer guru) and loves to get on the internet to read online comics so when I showed my comics to him, he came up with the idea of putting them on the internet. So it was decided that we need to find a server and host our domain but it’s difficult to find one for free (we don’t have money nor jobs). I remember reading a couple of online comics like “Dominic Deegan: Oracle For Hire” and they were hosted by Keenspace. So we tried that and submitted a request to be hosted by them. That took a while, waiting for them to reply but when we finally did in March, 2004, the site was ready to open. But I haven’t thought of a name for the comics really. I needed something that was catchy sort of, funny name to it almost, and that can best describe about a bunch of martial art fighting pandas. So “Kung-Fu Pandas” was decided. It sticks well to people's mind very well.

Oh yeah and later Filler Guy Doug jumped in along with the comic and now he’s part of it. He won’t leave us alone because we gave Chockys. He’s like a raccoon. He’s just coming back for more… I don't really know him. He just followed me home one day.

EDIT: Filler Guy Doug no longer works for us. He slaves away part time at Subway and also uses his time leveling on "Runescape", so... bleh... That's why his awfully insulting bio has been cut out.
